We had a wonderful experience at the lodge, especially for bird lovers like us! The large picture windows in our room allowed us to observe the birds from the comfort of our own space. The tours to see the quetzal were fantastic, and we even found the hummingbird feeders by the lodge center to be excellent.
No issues encountered during our stay 😊.

Cosy lodges with jacuzzis and mountain views. Helpful staff, especially Marco. Beautiful gardens, trails, and wildlife photography opportunities. Lower temperatures and high altitude, not ideal for young children or elderly. Delicious food, nice fireplace, and lovely pre/post dinner area with a log fire. Superior room with jacuzzi bath, blankets, heaters, and stunning view. Stunning gardens, trails, and hummingbird feeders. Friendly staff, fine food.

Just remember, it can get cold and rainy here, so make the most of the mornings before the rain clouds roll in. Cons: Not easy to find.

I had the most good stay at a lodge nestled in the mountains. The views from the rooms were fine, with beautiful gardens and an observation deck for hummingbird watching. The staff were helpful and the trails through the forest were a treat. The food at the restaurant was delicious, especially the trout special and almond rice entrees. I highly recommend this lodge for a nice stay.
Although the lodge was cozy, the cabins could be a bit drafty and cold, even with the extra blankets provided. the water stream in the shower was small and difficult to control the temperature.
